The Tangle of Existencea solo exhibition of Sykes' most recent work, was created in response to the Neapolitan novels, a series of four feminist fictions written by Elena Ferrante. Like the novels, the collage, painting, photography, and video included in the exhibition explore the depths of female relationships.

Curated by Daniela Ricci.

The exhibition included the premiere screening of All the Lost Years/Tutti Gli Anni Perduti. This short film continues Sykes' long-term collaboration with musician Victor Sanders and also draws inspiration from Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan novels.
